The Zellij is a terra-cotta tile, most of the time enamelled, made with the grey clay of Fes. Tiles are 1.2cm thick.
All tiles are cut with bevelled edges that allow a pose with tight joints.

Bejmat is a briquette in natural or enamelled terra-cotta. Size : 15 X 5 cm, thickness 2 ,5 cm.
Assembled in a geometrical way this material is used in floor covering.

Natural bejmats are not enamelled and are thus cheaper. Like most terra cotta a special treatment is required so as to protect the bejmat from stains and bad weather. We suggest you use a mix of linen oil and terebentine or a product specially made for terra cotta.
